Question about Bruce's 75 tips

I have a question about hooking up the top link. In Bruce"s 75 tips #34. "The top hole on the three-point rocker was intended ONLY for light draft tillage equipment. DO NOT use it for plowing, mowing, discing, etc." I"m not sure that I understand what is being said here. At the place that My top link secures, I have a pin that goes through the bottom of the rocker and pins to the axle housing(?) and then the top hole to hook the top link. Is this the way that it is supposed to be done or am I not understanding something?

Your tractor has a 2 hole rocker.....Bruce refers to "The top hole on the three-point rocker".....

You have one choice, and that will work just fine...

i'm gonna post 3 pics.

a single hole. a double hole and a tripple hole.

obviously those with 1 hole leave you no choice what hole to use.

units with 2 or 3 holes give you the option to get more draft response using a taller hole. obviously you do not want a plow in the top most hole of say.. a 3 hole rocker as it will exert lots of leverage on the draft control. that's why many reccomend to use the lowest hole possible for tillage.
