LUG NUTS

Can anyone tell me what size socket fits the rear lug nuts on a 51 ford ? My cross bar is too small and the largest socket I have is 1 inch and it s too small . Have to go buy one and looking for the size to buy . Anyone know ? Thanks for any replys .

Both my 51 and 52 are 1 1/16" I would get the 6 point socket.

When I did mine, I got a 3' long breaker bar to work with that socket... The 18" long ratchet I had wasn't enough to break those nuts free.

And my POS impact wrench can't even break loose the lug nuts on my wife's car, which I torqued to 75 ft·lb, much less the nuts on the tractor.

I was 12 miles from my tools when I had to remove mine. Used a pipe wrench and a 3' cheater pipe to bust mine loose.
