Airplane Tires

Seems I remember hearing on here about getting and using old
Airplane tires to use on the front. Saw these on CL. They are
airplane tires that were recapped to use on the rears. Wonder if
anyone know if you could find the right size to use for rears on an
'N'? This guy doesn't really give what the tire size is. Just it's
measurement. Interesting idea for us dealing with thorns.

How could you ever get them on the rim????

I sometimes have a problem with a 4 ply rear tire.

I'd let the tire shop deal with that one. I'm guessing if you could find them in 28 inch they would be too wide and tall. Maybe you could go with a smaller wheel? I don't know. I know I have all Steel on my 2N for Bush Hogging. Don't get no flats. But makes for a rough ride.

There's a guy over here that sells them - you see lots of implements around here that have them. I need to put a couple on my mixer grinder, but I am afraid it would make it sit higher. I only have an inch between the top of it and the doorway for the shed it is parked in.
