putting corn oil in my 8n tractor.

Hi their, I need to know, can I put corn oil in my 1951 ford 8n tractor along with gasoline to lubricate the fuel system without any problems? thank you.

Richard ,Then you could pack the muffler and tail pipe full of pop corn ,start her up and have a party!Tie a burlap bag to the tail pipe to catch it all in.

we used to use atf to clean the the carbon out of the combustion chambers decades ago, it will work, but smokes like a steam locomotive on a uphill run, lol the fire dept showed up one time, some do good person called them

The fuel system on an 8n Ford consists of the fuel tank, sediment bowl, and the carburetor. There is NOTHING in that system that even NEEDS lubricating. A little ATF in the gasoline MIGHT give a little extra protection the valve guides and stems, but if you're already using a good grade of motor oil, and change that oil when required, NO additional lubrication is needed.

Too much oil mixed in the gasoline will also have a tendency to foul the spark plugs, and that oil will also reduce the amount of actual gasoline going into the engine, which WILL reduce power and performance.

I use 2 stoke oil in my gas and diesel engines every other tank. I have never had a problem even with lawn mower. I have went as high as 40 to 1 in a generator.

If ATF had abrasive additives in it, it sure would do wonders to the inside of a transmission! Don't believe every thing you hear!

don't remember who, but someone here puts
peanut oil in the gas to give the exhaust a smell during parades :)

my engines get ATF, MMO, Seafoam, 2-stroke oil in the gas, whatever is on the shelf at the time.
cheap insurance, and they actually do work/clean combustion chambers a little, when the tractor is working.
sold me years ago seeing thousands of black specs
appear on the light gray hood of a vertical exhaust tractor
after running Seafoam.
It also cured a run-on problem I had on one, even after sorting out the ignition, carb, etc. hot spot carbon probably
(note: when first running whatever cleaning stuff you prefer, with a vertical exhaust tractor, wear goggles when working it hard on a windy day. those hot cinders getting cleaned/thrown out HURT)

Plain water will clean the combustion chamber and spark plugs. My 77 chevy had a water injector that use windshield washer fluid.
