where's the leak at? int he core or on a tank? neck? tube?

tank repairs are super easy.

SOME core repairs are ok, if you can get tot he damaged area without doing more damage AND if the core is not rotted.

if you have to replace it, the high density core is preferred.. but as expected will cost more.

many get buy with the lesser expensive common repop units every day. if you are limited on budget.. this will likely be a good choice.. again.. unless it is n easy fix and the rest of the radiator is in good condition.

easy to repalce.. just take the tin apart at the front. might even bea able to loosen the bolts at the rear tin and not take the side panels completely off. grill and nnose from 1 side will have to come off.,. doglegs from bolster too..e tc. if you can swing it.. do the thermostat.. and hoses, unless they are new/newish already.

Thanks! from what I can see, it has sprung a few pinholes - spouting little green gushers.

I may take the advice of pulling it out (since you promise me its easy -heheh) and bringing it in to see if it can be flushed/repaired. But I have a feeling those pinholes mean something bigger is coming soon.

pulling the whole front sheet metal off is easy, ive done mine numerous times, and its heavy you'll need a buddy to help, 4 bolts on the dash, there may or may not be a couple under the hood where the sides attach to the dash, there are holes for bolts and i put a couple in but a lot of times those are never reinstalled if the sheetmetal has been off at any time in the past, then the 2 on the doglegs, [take the grill completely out loosen one side, then the 2 bolts at the top of the grill, they may or may not be wing nuts, then the grill will come out], after the other dogleg bolt is out take the whole assembly carefully off and set it on a sawhorse being careful not to bend the bottom of the doglegs, the radiator can then be removed ,a couple of bolts and the hoses,i can remove the sheetmetal in 30 minutes, if you need a radiator after you have yours appraised, get the hd unit, i dont know what the difference is either but knowing nhow parts are from wong fu,the hd unit might be almost as good as whats in there from ford,as for cooling i run my jube and pull hard with a set of rippers and boxblade as well as a 5 foot brush hog in tall grass, even when the jube once in awhile runs out of engine, and i have to make 2 passes it stays around 160 to 180,my radiator has had a small leak on the tank seam for decades and i run the cap at the safety click, [loose] i did buy mine a new gas tank and it was as good as the original, both in looks and fit, mine has rusted pin holes and being a working tractor i wasnt going to take chances with a fuel leak

Yeah, or a sign of internal cancer was my thought. I have a good (bad?) feeling that I'm in the market for a new radiator. pout.

i also have a feeling you will be getting a new radiator.

many times it's even cheaper than a recore using oyur old tanks.. etc..
