seat removal rusted bolt, dealt with

Pic showing the new seat installed and the old (very thin) seat leaning up against it.

Had a TOUGH time getting that seat off.
Followed the advice to unbolt the spring with the seat, so I could attack it easier.
Tried cold chisel, when I finally got it off I could see the chisel only made it maybe a third through.
Got it off by just pounding on the nut with a sledge hammer.
I did think about ordering a new spring but eventually the nut popped off.

Tractor Supply had a pan seat, but the bolt was bigger than the hole in the spring and I wasn't looking forward to trying to enlarge the hole.

They did have the "universal seats", which I was skeptical of, but it did say there were many ways to bolt it on (the spring had 3 holes in it and it did bolt on fine).

Got it home and I wasn't thrilled when I opened the box and there was no mounting hardware and zero instructions.

However I must say it seems well designed, for the most part, and I was able to figure it out and get it mounted. I did have to make sure it was as far back as I could get it, otherwise very hard to get on the seat, and I'm under 200 lb. It does have an adjustment for your weight, from "110 lbs" to "265 lbs", I guess to customize the bouncy bouncy. Lever under the seat to pick how far front/back you want it, then another bolt to lock in the setting. I like how the seat swings back to make it easy to get on.

I doubt that vinyl/foam will last 60+ years like the original did, but I will enjoy it, I think.

(BTW That thing on top of the hood is just a radio from Tractor Supply, which I enjoy very much)

the original seat was VERY thin and had begun making noises like it was fixing to splinter, which I didn't want it to do while I was riding it. That wouldn't have been a pain in the BACK, but a pain in the YOU KNOW WHAT :)

It looks like you have the "N" under cover. That sat will last a lot longer if kept out of the sun. They seem to be good for about three years out in the weather.

You bet ! When I took it out of the box and was inspecting the pieces on the driveway, they felt like they were ready to melt. 91 here today.
So yes, it's under cover, and when it isn't, I'm sitting on it.

I believe you mean up side down.

In any case, it looks like it should be good to go as long as
the arm rests fit your height! :)
