Can anyone tell me what the space is between the horizontal members of an 'original' 8N front bumper is?? I only have the heavy part that mounts to the front axle, the other 3 horizontal bars are missing. I have just bent up 3 replacements but can't figure out what the spacing should be from photos. Looks like about 2" but would like to know for sure.

Thanks,

Mike

The headlights are stamped Tract O Lite and use sealed beam lamps....

Got the same lights. Mine are stamped "DEITZ" and a few numbers on the retaining ring for the sealed beam.

All headlight were installed by dealers or owners. None came from Ford.

Looks great Mike. Protecting those hydraulics is a good idea.

Not to mention the soon to be new grill, radiator, water pump......

Please identify your headlights.

Are they Ford or aftermarket?

If aftermarket, how do you like them and are they sealed beem or bulb?

Nice tractor!
Good job on bumper!

Quoting Removed, click Modern View to see

I will try to remember to take a look at them tomorrow to see if there are any markings on them. They were on a parts tractor I bought from a guy down the road. They use sealed beams....

Almost finished. Need to trim the ends of the horizontal bars and round them off a bit. I bent the out angles a bit sharper than the original one so had to move the vertical supports in board a bit. Am just using carriage bolts instead of messing with rivets. Need to get some more, only had 3 of the correct length laying around. Then some primer and paint. I just bent a single angle in the center instead of the 2 on the original but it still matches up pretty well with the main bar. Didn't want to spend too much time and aggravation, just wanted a bumper to protect my Hokie Hydraulics pump!! Don't think it turned out too bad for 4 hours work and $20 worth of flat bar.

Next up -- time to fab up a new grill. I have 2 and both are in bad shape. And since a standard grill won't fit over the front pump without some modification anyway, I'm going to design my own. Hope to get started on that soon....

No rivet holes to measure. All I have is the heavy, main horizontal bar that mounts to the axle. Everything else is gone.....

The OEM bumpers are riveted. Measure the distance between the rivet holes.

I have one I "think" is original.
I think that because it's riveted together.

The spacing on the bars is 2" from the top
of one to the bottom of the next on this one.

Same spacing on another I have that is aftermarket.
