on the the needle point is rubber could it be the one doing that, the old one is all brass.. where do i fine a solid brass one at. all the kits i have have rubber point one..

i clean brass fitting good..and wipe rubber with cleaner..use charcoal fluid which is naphtha. it is good to clean greasy hands.

So is that rubber needle sticking shut or is it letting to much gas into the carb. Sorry do not read minds as to which problem you have. If it is flooding then you need to put a set on that rubber tip. You pull the carb open it up pull the float then drop that needle into the seat. Tap on it a few times and then look at the rubber tip you should see a little ring on the tip. That is what is called a set. If it has been flooding then pull the plugs and clean them they are gas fouled
