Without pictures it will be hard to impossible to tell. it could be 9n or 2n or 8n. I have what I "think" is 52 with an industrial engine in it. look for casing codes on the rear axle. that may help. I have seen no records of industrial engine serial numbers.
good luck.

I am not an expert and not trying to be but an 8n has a 4spd trans.and both brake pedals on the right side 2n 9n have a 3 spd trans and pedals on oposite sides 2n and 9n don,t have the little lever under the seat on the right side.of course it can be mix and match as well.hope that helps.

deffinately post a pic and check things like axle casting dates.

with a replacement engine and no oem sn which was on the oem engine.... could be 39-52 N..e tc.

Flembo, throwing you a curve, but I have a 47, 2n (3 speed trans) with clutch on left and both brakes on right side. It looks factory. It had this setup when I bought it. I think there was an after market setup at sometime not sure.
