hook up and it still try

got 12 battery install
genny disconnected no alt hook yeah
12 volt coil
run about 3 min turn off now. but if take choke
hold the choke out about half way it run a few
minute longer.
could the idle jet or economizer jet mess up
causing this problem

IMA.........you do know yer gravity fed M/S carb will stop running iff'n the air-vent it clogged, don't you??? Try un-capping your gastank so it don't gitt VACUUM locked.
