80W90 hydraulic oil

hyd oil in 80w90?

or gear oil?

if gear oil.. chek walmart.. or some place that sells the coastal brand.. like carquest.

I get gear oil in 5g pails from one of the 2 usually.

I"m sure it is gear oil. Book just says 80w90..Book with it is betterthannothing but leaves lots to the imagination. Drawings reference numbers that aren"t there etc..Thanks

I don"t know-is it?I"m no oil specialist. I plan to tell two guys (who I know and who sell oil) what I want it for and they will sell me what I need..They, like me, won"t know anything about a Zetor tractor but they will know oils. For that reason I don"t know oils and don"t have to and this late in life I don"t want to or need to.Far as I"m concerned I might just tell em to give me some of that greasy kind.

Well, looks like I"ll be adding a little and hoping for the best..No way I"m going to put $250 in the belly of a off brand Zetor tractor. Thanks
Oil looks a little milky on the dipstick. I guess there might be a small chance that a hyd oil change might help the problem I'm having where it lowere about 10" then raises then lowers then raises when I am transporting a HEAVY box blade...What u think?

I goggled it I don't feel the need to be a Guru on Zet's so will not repete what I read on the net just to prove what I read is etched in stone...

Use this with the quoits ( zetor 5211 "hydraulic oil" )

http://www.google.com/search?source...enUS340US340&q=zetor+5211+"hydraulic+oil"

I also ran across free down loads (manuals) for zets but not going their myself...

It can be had for about $7 a gal if you shop around... I know I have brought 55gal drums for around $300,,,I can not locate my price book at this time I forgot were I put it are its lay'n somewhere in a pile (were I last had it)...

Were I would also shop for best price..

I bet you will lose that "milky" look if you run the machine long enough to evaporate the water outta the oil. We call that "got to use the machine to "BURN the WATER" out.

By the way......here I use an old time MILK STRAINER with the proper filters to reclaim the oil outta machinery. Pour through the milk strainer, and re-install . Later check the filter for metals, etc.

Oil doesn't wear out....just gets black for some reason.

Drained it out today..Looked really bad-looked just like chocolate milk shake(color) Don"t think I would want it back in anything..

How much did you get.I find the 25 gallons a bit much unless it is a giant tractor.I paid 7.00 a gallon last year.Check with a tractor shop , they should have it in barrels at a lower cost.

Blind in one eye and can"t see much out of the other one(true story)..Anyway need 26.9 quarts..so bought 2 buckets(5 gal) at $44.00..$8.80 per gal is a little high but was convenient--within rocks throw of where I work.. Another local place wanted $11.25 per gal--thankfully I know the guy who owns the place and he is old enough his wants won"t hurt him..I"m not going to give $56.25 for 5 gal if I can get suitable oil for $44.
