he told me it was 1953 ford 8n tractor and he could prove it too ..
i told him if prove it 1953 ford tractor i buy it from him he say it number on the block said 8n 000096 and it had a front mount disturber and it had hyd line from the tractor then i pop bubble and show him what year it was it was made in 1947 and he wow

Some people wouldn't believe the truth if it hit them in the face.
The last 8ns were 1952's, but you knew that, but the owner has his mind made up no body is going to change it. As they say ignorance is bless.
Some time ago some one wuz trying to sell a 1955 A John Deere tractor, and no matter the people that tried to set them straight they wouldn't admitt they were wrong.

Ya I see that type of thing all day long on Craig's list and sad that many will swear all day long they are right but yet they have nothing to prove they are other then what they where told when they got it. Like one guy that told me there never was a 2N made till I showed him proof in writing

So many people selling old ford tractors and many have no idea what they have. I have seen them from 1930 to 1960. A little research is all it takes.

The best one that I saw was a 1955 8N Jubilee restored to original condition with many new parts!! located in a tractor dealers yard..
