(quoted from post at 08:59:43 05/03/13) Hey, Gary, what are you and Hermie testing on: gravel or snow?

Tom;
Well, since the last 'Global Warming', has all melted, and I tested Ken's carb on my upper driveway.....I'll be doing my parking area...3/4 minus...gravel, for todays testing!!!
Probly about 45 mins' per carb, should do it!!!!! (Give or take) :lol:

Looks like rain this afternoon, so I better get after it!!!

BTW Bob.....didn't even use the BFH on these two .....went together like melted butter!!!! :) [/i:54806701a4][/b:54806701a4]

We had a inch or two of snow here, lots more elsewhere.

FYI: New gas tank and sediment bowl have arrived, so that "New" TSX-361 will have a little better diet than The Old Carb.

Yep..RG.....after reading some of the posts here lately, I'm thinkin' that, a feller, should keep tape, wire, old carb parts, AND, A GBFH, to solve just ONE problem!!!????? Either that....OR, just throw NEW parts at the problem!!! And maybe get lucky, that way!!!!

Wish I had that kind of $$'s!!!!

May I ask about what a ballpark figure is to get one rebuilt? I have a 44 2 N with a carb that is having some problems and a 41 9 N that has been down since 2004 for rebuilding.

Gary, I don't want to cause problems. I cannot find any way to email you. I was just wondering just as a ball park figure if it was in the hundred dollar range or the 500 dollar range to get something like that done, don't think in the thousand dollar range but could be wrong. Just out of curiosity. The 2N that is having some problems I think I will get figured out and going as I think it just still needs adjusted after a local mechanic rebuilt it a couple of years ago but I think I am finally getting the running problems figured out in that it is a bad resistor in ignation as I have put in 2 new switches plus coil, points, condensor and cap at the time carb was went over but would run possibly 5 minutes or 2 hours with missing. So if I can keep it running then I can play with the adjustments. My email is [email protected] and I am in Ohio. The other tractor I question if I will ever get the engine back together.

Leroy;
Just sent you an email. I sent the cost to you, and shipping info, if you need it, but I think from reading your reply, you only need to set up the carb to your engine!! Thus, I also sent you the sheet on how to do that!!!!

Thanks for asking!!!
