Frontmount 6v with blue streak points. File this under the heading of "no good deed may go unpunished", but today we paraded the 8n fleet and my brother turned off and accidentally back on the ignition switch for ten minutes. The tractor fired up, paraded fine, and went home fine.
Did I get lucky and the points were open then the motor stopped? How long does it take for a set of points to burn? And if they were closed, did this likely reduce the life of the points?
