What does the spark look like?? It may well not be a carb problem but weak or intermittent spark. A bad ignition switch will do that as will a bad condenser or loose wire some place. I would try a hot wire from the battery to the coil and see if that helps or does nothing. Make sure you have a good blue white spark that jump a 1/4 inch gap. Also when was the last time you serviced the air cleaner been. Ya it could be a carb problem and the carb may need rebuilt or re done if you have done it in the last few weeks because it is easy to miss some thing

its Me........quit trying to text yer problems on cell phone.

It's claimed 90% of all carb problems are found in the ignition system. So everytime YOU have a problem, you rebuild the carb. Now you have 2-problems.

Gonna make a guess, you have the 5-nipple sidemount dizzy. Points are gapped 0.025". Points life is about 10-yrs. New points need INVISIBLE CORROSION "polished" from between the points. Me? I clamp a clean $1-bill between the points and pull. Iff'n yer cheap, tear a strip from HEAVY brown paper grocery sack and use that.

Biggest cause of short running time with 5-nipple dizzy is the nylon feedthru bushing in side of dizzy metal cup. Do I haffta tell you to replace it???

Roundcan ignition coils are almost bulletproof and seldom need replacing.

Lastly, ennytime you have starting problems, replace yer sparkies. NO ARGUE!!!
Recommend AutoLite 437's gapped 0.025"
Don't throw yer FLOODED sparkies away, clean'n'dry them, one-atta-time in HOT running engine and save'um fer the next time. (and there will be a next time) ........Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
