Slow day........

You know it's a slow day when you spend 2 hours looking at the old posts here just for the fun of it!

I need to quit using my 8N (Funk conversion) for a while to do some very needed TLC on it. New plugs, points, condensor, oil change, new radiator needed. In process of replacing the water pump now.

I got the tractor 9 years ago and redid the electricals and put a different air filter on (washable) giving it more air. Also found a NOS intake and exhaust manifold and got it installed along with a rebuilt Holley Carb. Also put on a new governor and a new alternator. Since then, outside of a couple of new tires, I have just used it - mostly for bursh hogging. Couple of weeks ago after setting all winter it started on the first try! Oh yeah, I did manage to totally distroy the 1st hydraulic pump couple of years ago.

Old Henry Ford made some good stuff!

Always amazed that my '41 9N, built 14 yrs. before I was born (you do the math!) can sit outside (under a tarp) attached to a modern 125 bushel manure spreader, start, run like a champ and run out a load with no issues.

Yea, it's a slow day.

My "48 has 7 yrs. on me and is in a whole lot better shape. At least it doesn"t sound like a bowl of Rice Krispie"s for about an hour after you get it going.
