Here are a couple photos of the front bumper that is on the 8N I bought last year. As you can see, it's slightly different from the ones you usually see. Just curious if anyone else has one like this, and was it made by some aftermarket supplier?

It's definitely not an aftermarket bumper . What you have is a one of a kind POs design . He used parts of an original 8n bumper but had the main bar formed by some one working in a steel fabrication shop . I'd hesitate handling that heavy beast very often . I hope this answers your question . God bless , Ken

don't know , but I like it .

I bought it as is ($250.00) with a side mount distributor , serial number 8N 345567,with a proofmeter govenor but it has a 3spd transmission (2N)with 2N brakes.
The motor was completely seized and had not run since 1986, with a little work I got it running , purrs like a kitten, except a squeek in the rear PTO shaft, one day I will get a chance to take it apart and find what the squeek is.

Ken, I have to respectfully disagree that it's an original. The original bumpers were riveted, not welded like this. This is a very nicely PO modified aftermarket bumper.

Thanks for all the replies. I knew who the PO was, and I'd bet he didn't make it! But there used to be a top notch welding shop in our area, and I suppose they could have fabbed it up. It looks almost too nice to be homemade, and the faded paint seems to match the rest of the tractor.
But maybe it is one of a kind. Cool!!
