Have a chance to purchase a SQ-600. Appears to be in good shape. Any thoughts of a decent price?

good mower for sure. hard to tell on price.

alot is going to depend on actual condition. got oil in the box? leak? blades and SJ ok?

region too.. and availability of used mowers.

I can see good ones in a demand market getting 450 ish on the high side. well used half that and beaters int eh 100-150 range

The Squealer is Bush Hog's low cost line. It is light duty and without a roller bearing tail wheel.

Still, in my area, that one would probably bring $650 - $750 at this time of year.

Two weeks ago I watched a new, unused Land Pride 5' cutter sell at auction for around $2300. I had priced the same model at the same dealer where the auction was held the prior week. I could have bought a different, yet identical, model with warranty for $1800.
