how much fluid for a 12.4-28 tire ?

i remember my fatherinlaw doing it this way.
he would siphon his antifreeze in first with a small hose fitted over the tube valve.
he then added water with an adapter that screwed on a water hose and just let the water run until full.
worked fine.pretty quick too.
i think he would let some out and add a few pound of air.

I put the valve stem at about the top of the rim and quit filling when the liquid level reachs the valve stem. This leaves enough air for a buffer. It takes about 30 to 35 for a 12.4 tire, and 27 for a 11.2.

Send me an e-mail and I can then in return send you a page out of a tractor manual that shows you 3 or 4 ways to fill tires with fluid. One you can even set up and walk away and it will do it on its own.
As for how much fluid it will hold right at 32 gal.

Wanted to add that when my fatherin law filled his this way, it was with water from a well and low pressure also. when tire was full the pump kicked off.
City water here is higher pressure and dont kick off . if left unattended it can blow the tire.
This we have experienced. I saw one blow the tire off the front of rim ,destroying the tube and rim edge, lucky the tire wasnt damaged or anyone hurt. It blew water 40' and sounded like a cannon went off.

I"ve been waiting a week for tire company to come fill my new rears with rim gaurd.said the would take about 35 gals each.
