Float chargers

I have been thinking about float chargers for some time for my 6 volt 8N's but always put it off. This past winter I bit the bullet and got one for each N. I am amazed how much easier starting they are.

Makes sence to me. Fully charged, and 'Warm battery'!!!! More voltage to the starter.
I use Hermie pretty often, testing carbs and plowing the white stuff, yr.'round'.
If he sets for two or three days with-out use, that's unusual!!!

Any longer setting, with-out being used, and I might invest in a 'Float charger", myself!!

Gary....(with a 6V battery, going on 7 yrs. old......still keeps a full charge!!)[/i:3b936932f2][/b:3b936932f2]

That is my problem, I don't use any of my machines often enough. Now that it is mowing season, one of them will get more use.

They are great! They make your batteries last even longer
then expected. I have 5 of them and I switch them around to
different batteries every two weeks
