We have been using a 4 slot heavy duty toaster at work to toast the bread for a club sandwich - it was really slow when you got 4 -5 orders at once so, the management, in their wisdom went and bought a $600 waring commercial toaster - still 4 slot (why I don't know) but this one was rated at 208 volts the other was 110volts - the new one is no faster than the old one - I would have expected it to heat up quicker and toast the toast faster but it actually is hardly any quicker at all - does the fact that it is nearly twice the voltage have no difference in how quick it toasts bread? I thought maybe they wired it up wrong and it was still only getting 110v but the maintenance guy assured me that it was wired up right.
There is no room for one of those toasters used in breakfast places by the way.
Guess they just wasted $600?
