Buddy put this tractor up for the winter, drove it into the barn and took the battery out.
He charged up the battery and put it back in but the tractor wouldn't start.
All of the cast was sweating, so I figured the dizzy was wet as well.
We took it off to clean it and dry it, here's a few pictures of what we found.
It's back together and running now so all is well, I just thought they were
interesting enough to share.
These old Fords are tough!
I'm guessing someone took the bushings out with a chisel?
The top bracket was bent enough that it was binding the shaft.
Proof that any old screw will work if you don't adjust the timing too much.
He's been running it this way for years and didn't know this wasn't the
correct screw. We put an allen head brass screw in it, worked fine.
