i've had good luck on some rusted CI parts where I ELT'd them.. then used solder or braze to fill in a bad flange.
mind you that's way way too much work on a carb.. .. just saying.
oh well..can't save them all.
i have one off my 660 that was green coroded on the inside after the switch to ethanol gas. i couldn't ever get that carb to run right.. :)
