tie rod ends

I had read somewhere a while back that you could replace just the grease boot on a tie rod end. I never really thought that tie rod ends were a rebuildable part.

In general is it better just to replace the whole part?

pilot199.........yes, you can buy NEW rubber boots fer tie rod ends, done all the time. Most of the time they are DESTROYED by using "pickle-forks" to pop the wedged ends apart. ........Dell, why does that make me want to go gitt a new DILL pickle to munch on???
