dirty string filter or bad Condenser

it run and stop after a few mins ..rebuilt it over night soaking in carb cleaner rebuilt new gasket kit all part
1 set float at 1/4 at the top
2 blew jet and wire them out to get junk out
set main adjustment about 1 . 1/4 turn off the bottom
3 idle adjustment about 3 to 4 turn out off the bottom
so it run for few and stop or could it be a Condenser act up..or is the fuel screen on the elbow

As Harold said, don't guess......check for fuel & spark.

You've been around this board long enough to know how to do that.

If you forgot, just say so & we can tell you.

Check you spark and make sure it is a good blue/white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap. Then check fuel flow from the carb drain plug. Never guess do the trouble shooting.
 
NO the condenser is NOT BAD. And you've done diddled with them handy-dandy carb tweek-ums. BAD BUOY !!!
Now pay attention......set yer down-pointing MAINJET to 2-turns and LEAVITT!!! now adjust yer side-pointing idlemix for MAXIMUM idle rpms; then adjust the BEHIND the carb idle speed for an incredibly SLOOOooo 400-rpms. (ennythang under 500-rpms is good) Do this 3-times!!! The last time I adjusted my eazy starting 6-volt 52-8N, the idlemix screw was about 1/4-turn and rpms on new tachometer was about 435-rpms. It can be done.

Remember the side-pointing idlemix is BASSACKWARDS; out fer lean; IN fer ENRICH. Adjust fer FASTEST idle; NOT smoothest idle. Understand the difference???

Didja know yer weak sister ignition switch has about 15-mins of run time and it will turn the engine OFF? Will restart innna 'bout 30-mins of cool-off time. NEW ignition switch; $15 (cheap) ..........Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister
 
point set at 15. gap spark plug 25. but float is at 1/4 as the book say and adjustments to all three screw as say in the book say. what i think it screen.. the fuel from the tank is great lot of fuel ..

did you know it could be the coil too.. on what you saying... but thank you information...
 
NO NO NO!!! it takes about 1-hr fer the squarecan coil to go BAD. NOT what you reported. .........respectfully, Dell
 
But you can have every thing set as it should be but if you do not make 1000% sure you have spark all that does you nothing. You NEED to check the spark at the plug wires and make sure it is blue/white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. All it takes is a bad switch or a short some place in the system to make the points and coil do nothing so then you have a no run condition
