Draft Controll Cont'

This is directed to Zane but all are welcome to help. :)

Hi Zane:

You answered in Lisa's question about a washer placed below the draft control spring.

Here is my question.

I think I have the same problem. When in draft mode it does not lift. If you push down on the draft/position lever, That's push it a little lower then horizontal it will lift.
SO
Can I do the washer trick with mine of is it time to tear into it.

OH Yeah I did try adjusting the quadrent back and forth, that's how I got it to lift when pushing the draft/position lever down. Before that it did not lift at all.

Thanks.
Bob

Just wanted to say we did the washer trick and adjusted quadrant and all works well now!! Thanks Zane!

Glad to hear that
I have not tore into things yet. The washer goes under the cover that you took off. Is that correct.

The way I look at it you take off the yoke, spring. cover and then the washer goes under the cover.

Now I just need Zane to say if my problem can be fixed with the washer trick.

Thanks
Bob

'll let Zane address "will it fix my problem", but as to where washer goes, tractor side of #29.

I See it goes inboard of part "29"
Cool
Now looking at it I bet that will fix me also. Hey it's worth giving it a try. If not tear into the lift and replace the cam and buy the tool from Zane and adjust accordingly.

Thanks
Bob

Do it like the reply below and I think you will be in business.

I recently did it on my 660 and plowed about an acre this morning and draft control worked perfectly.

Usually the hard part is getting that %$##$ yoke off the draft rod plunger.

Lots of times it take the big red torch.

Ok I'll give it a try. Maybe next week I'll pull it apart and see if that helps. I'll need to plow something to check that out. LOL. Maybe I'll start of a patch for blackberrys.
