NAA PTO SHAFT LENGTH

Replaced PTO Shaft on NAA. PTO would not disengage with lever. I notice that if shaft is slid 1/16" back, all works fine.

Has anybody seen new PTO that is too long? Would double gasket work?

Did you compare them "side by side" before replacing? Spec's being what they are, could be the new one is a smidge longer.... not sure if shimming the pto end is a good idea, or cutting the spline side off a bit would be a good idea either, the shim would be easier if it doesnt change anything on that end. If you plan on pulling it out again, measure or stand them up and see if there is a difference b/w them.

if you can slide the pto shaft in / out.. you have a bearing, carrier or snap ring issue..
