Well I can"t find a hat rim.But I did find 2 12.4 like new mounted on loop rims.Think this is the way to go.My other rim could be ready to crack also. Its a work tractor, but I"d like the rims to match.Any thoughts.$1K

I've got two new Firestone tires (12.4 X 28) and tubes on the rear of my 8N and one new China made and one older Firestone 12.4 X 28 on the rear of my Jubilee. Both rear rims are new loop rims. Some day I hope to repair both of the hat rims I took off the Jubilee, but until then, I see no problem in running unmatched tires or rims on my tractors. Afterall, I can only see one side at a time. ;>)

$1K for two good tires on good rims seems reasonable, but I'd offer less and go from there.

Have you checked the photo ads on this site?
I saw a pair of 12.4 x 28 on Ford 8N rims with centers
on there yesterday for $500. Not sure if they're still there.
They were in Michigan, but saving $500 might be worth
a drive, or there may be some closer.

If it is a worker, no reason why you can't have two different rims on it as long as the tires are the same size.

I've got one of the original hat rims on my 8N. Too bad you aren't near - it would be yours. I always kind of felt bad having it as my tractor is just a worker on the farm and I know there are folks beating the bushes to find them. Kind of like the T3 headlight bulbs in my grain truck. Those corvette boys would like to have those for a proper restoration.

Didnt find a rim.So I went back to the guy that had the pair for 1K.Pulled them out of the corner.New Rims & Rubber mounted.$1200.Got one on the taractor today.( I can move some hay tonight)Ill do the other after work.Ill set up for ballest, later in the week.
