Hi guys.

I have a 9N that was gone through, painted, and placed in a shed for the last 10 years. I popped a new battery in it yesterday (6 volt) put in some gas, and she fired right up. It's a little noisy in neutral when I let out the clutch. IS this something I should be concerned about, or is it normal to get some noise?

Thanks!

Pull the rear end/hyd dip stick and make sure it is full of oil like it should be first off. If it is then yep maybe normal and yep some make a good bit more noise then others or could be a problem. By the way was the PTO spinning or not?? Could also come from the hyd pump

It could be that your input shaft bearing is a little worn. Also check that you have the right kind of transmission oil, GL90 gear oil. If you have the modern tran/hydraulic fluid it will be louder. The hearvier grade oil could quiet it down.
