I have a 2n with a Sherman transmission. It has a strong motor that has just been rebuilt, so it has plenty of power. Today I plowed some with a 2 bottom plow. I had the Sherman set to normal range (not hi or low, just the normal speeds.) There were some times when the plow would get bogged down a little too deep. Under a heavy load, the tractor would just simply stop moving neither and wheel would spin. (From having an 8N for years, normally in this situation the engine would pull a little harder. Then with a properly functioning differential one wheel would spin, allowing you to press that brake and then get more traction on the opposite side.)
This really limited the pulling power when trying to plow the garden. It couldn't really just bog down and keep on pulling, like it should. Anyways, I'm just wondering if this means another tractor split. Any other ideas?
