Hi All,
Greetings from Kingston, WA. Been lurking here off and on ever since I bought my 52 8N about ten years ago. Figured it was about time I signed up. Anyhow, just wanted to say hello and try posting a pic. I'll be pestering you all soon enough with my tractor troubles.

Welcome. Lot of good information here and a lot of
knowledge. Good looking tractor. I have 6 N series
tractors and a few more later Ford's earliest is
9n #849 the newest is my grandfather's 63 4000.
I've learn a lot of things about these tractors
the hard way it would have been easier to get on
here and just ask. So don't hesitant to ask a
question you will always get an answer.

Glad you are on board. Great looking tractor. Also looks well cared for.

The only troubles you should experience should be handled with this motto:

clean....bright...tight.

Mostly electrical connections associated with corrosion from the battery. Best way is to simply remove the battery, and keep the clutch pedal clamped down during any long term storage periods.

Hope this helps.

Funny you mention the clutch. I learned that lesson the hard way a few years ago.

I use the tractor primarily to mow a 7 acre or so pasture with a 5" finish mower. I drag a chain harrow over it early spring and fall.

Great looking 8N and welcome to the forum.

There are some very depressed upper midwesterners on the forum who are also envious of your green grass.

I fit Colin's description, mid-westerner and envious of the green grass!
Funny how after 60+ years the N's are still one of handiest units around.
Welcome to the forums. Great looking tractor!

I will say really nice 52 also and welcome aboard. I am also a new member with a 52 8N and not from the frozen North country but very little green grass can be seen here yet.

Hi Greg.I live in Brownsville (Poulsbo address) nice to have a nice N living so close.Maybe we could get together and visit some time.I am retired with time on my hands. I drive my N down to the marina once in a while.Send me a E-mail some time.

Nice to know of another local. I have a good friend here in Kingston with a nice shiny 8N too. We definitely need to come up with an excuse to get together sometime. I'm not much for just socializing but I do enjoy helping with projects and such.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, didn't really expect it. Here's a glamor shot my wife took of me mowing and working on my farmer tan last spring. That drought is really taking a toll isn't it. I feel for the farmers having to make some very tough choices. We've had ideal grass growing weather here the last couple weeks, mowing season is now under way. I'm mowing and dragging this weekend.
