spark plug wire

i purchased spark plug wires 49 8n front mount distributor tsc . ive read in archives about subject . there are crimpers to put ends on a little exspensive i have a pair of doorman wire stripers they say ignition at the bottom slot then above it there are 3 colored slots that say uninsulated can i use bottom slot to crimp.

If you got a kit of black wires I bet it is graphite take it back ya want 8MM copper wire.

I found that a set of TV cable crimpers works very well on spark plug wire. I crimp first with the tool and again with a one eighth drill bit shank in the tool with the clip. This puts the final tight crimp you see in the pics. The six sided crimp works very well.

ha dell they say copper core on box but they dont look like copper in the middle the wire looks like aluminum you say you use tsc wires on your tractors universal . ill try to run wire under crimp like in pictures above maybe try my hand at soder for extra strength. i will keep them of from manifold to ha ha. thanks caryc for great pictures.

I have that extra length of wire as in pic #4 because I bend it back 180 degrees along the back of the plug clip before I slip the 90 degree rubber boot over the clip.
