Just bought my first Ford. Don"t know anything about them. The man told me it is a 9n. What is the difference between a 9n and a 2n?
Thanks,

The year they were made. 9N from 1939 to 1942, 2N from 1942-1947.
Other than that, subtle changes over the years.
Check out John Smith's site for a ton of great information on these tractors.
Congrats on the new tractor!

Congrats. Most parts are interchangeable, too.

Becareful of the nose grills. Some modifications are required between the 9N's and the 2/N's. Between them are GOOD N's.
Color scheems are usually "battleship GREYS" or similiar GRAYS.

yep.. check engine sn.. and raised date codes ont he machine.. and look for early or late options ( rad rods oval vs ibeam.. etc.. etc.. ) and see if they all match up.
