Can anyone advise? My 1940 9N has started "knocking" when the hydraulic lever is at the top. I presume this is the hydraulic pump telling me it needs attention.
It's also developed a problem with "lifting" when the system is under load, in that it doesn't always "lift" when the lever is moved to the top position, and of course this is getting worse. So the issue is there may be a worn hydraulic cylinder o-ring - or could it be the relief valve?
It seems the symptoms of the problem "lifting" could be either.
If anyone has a suggestion for the cures, I'd be grateful.
