When replacing an alternator on a car one time I went through 4 of them before one finally worked. I had been getting the from the auto place. I finally got smart and got a Bosh like it came with. Problem solved. Take that alternator and have it tested. If it is bad get a new one and have them test it before you leave the store. That takes that out of the equation.
