I think there were a couple versions of the Knoedler. Colin's picture shows the early one on his 2N. This seat has a fixed position for side to side (non-leveling). I have in my barn a later model that has an adjustment to make the seat level when the tractor is being used for plowing and the right wheels are in the furrow. It looks quite similar, but there is extra stuff. I'd post a picture, but.....
Note to Colin.. I just got another 8N. This one looks reasonably good with decent tires. I used to do the maintenance on this one, but it broke a sleeve and the owner figured that the cost of fixing was more than the tractor was worth, so he just kept using it with lots of oil "honey" and a long plastic hose going over the top of the hood for the oil vapor to condense in and flow back into the oil pan. The plastic hose was gorilla taped to the oil fill/breather tube. This is a side mount engine. Everything else on the tractor works. He was moving to a new house in Colorado, and didn't want the expense of moving the poor running 8N. So for the price, he included the rear blade, a 3 pt platform, and a small hog. As he considered it to be non-salable in its current condition, we struck a deal... I don't charge him for fixing or disposing of it, and he doesn't charge me for a "piece of junk" that he needed to get rid of. NO... I didn't screw the guy, but he has plenty of $$ and has appreciated our long and friendly relationship. The final deal was his idea, and I appreciated it. He put it in writing.
Another project, another tractor.... wife is going nuts.
