CHOKE.....?.....What CHOKE????
You don't NEED NO, 'stinkin' choke!!!!! Chokes' are only 'sposed' to be used in 'COLD weather' 'start-up's', and since 'BIG SKI' country has only had 0 deg. F., to 20deg. F. mornings, for the last few months....I didn't feel it a nessesary item for ya!!!
I did, however make sure that, pulling the choke rod, and holding it closed for about 10 rev's of the crank, will flood the carb and contaminate the spark-plugs, to the extent of, making the engine NOT START, making sure you have to spend more $$'s on sparkies, and also making you 'THINK', that yer carb needs another overhaul!!!! That way I'm sure that you will ask me to Charge you for another complete overhaul on the carb!!!!???

That's what I call,.....'Good, job security', for ME!!!!

Glad ya like the carb, and that it's workin' good for ya!!!!
BTW....: I did,....install a 'self distruct mech., in your carb, before sending it back to you.......That's more $$'s for ME!!!!!

lol my jub carb needs work but its the same way, even on the coldest day i cant choke it for any longer than it takes me to move the choke knob out and in, any more and its game over,my problems for some reason all my throttle is in 1/2 inch of movement i got a "black beauty" from here, and after several days, and miss diagnoses of the problem,[ engine rpm was allover the place and all by itself]i put the old carb back on,it ran sweet! its just now idle to full power takes 1/2 inch of handle movement, but it runs so good im afraid to fool with it lol ford tractors have been long known to be very sensitive to too much choke, most times none at all works just fine

Eric, your throttle/governor problem is likely caused by linkage out of adjustment or maybe the wrong compensating spring is installed. There are two different governors used on the NAA; original is no longer available and the replacement unit requires a different compensating spring. Someone may have replaced the governor but mistakenly used the original spring. I suggest you get the IT Shop Service FO-19 manual which explains this and also the procedure for linkage adjustment. My NAA tractor had governor problems and after adjusting the linkage it is much better. The engine should not require much "choke" to start and mine needs partial choke setting for the first couple minutes of operation in real cold weather starts.

Gary rebuilt mine for my Jube. Decided to use the former choke for a gum ball dispenser :)
Other problem was that when I mounted it on the old girl it looked like a chandelier hanging in an outhouse. Took me months to rebuild the Jube to match the carb!

Had the exact same experience myself.
