Well, I waited until my wife was out of the house and I just threw a 220 plug on the Lincoln buzz box and plugged it into the 220 that was closest to the driveway. The wires stretched out into the driveway. barely.

Anyway, I laid down a grotesque chicken-poop bead and it is cooling now. I never used an arc welder before (yes, I used a helmet and goggles and gloves and and and...)

We'll see if I have to do it again.

if it made any penetration at all.. you are probably fine. on races.. I use low amps and a lo pen reod..
