I'm on the other side of that situation. I have an 8N for sale & have "sold" it twice and have them say they will call to tell me when they can arrange pick up, then never hear from them again. The last one even went so far as to list a cgslst ad "8N wanted" the day after he was to call.
I also once bought a power steering setup for my 900 & told the guy "Don't sell it to anyone else, I can't get there until tomorrow, but I will be there" & got his promise. When I get there I heard "I sold it." The sad part was that it was still there, he had been offered a better price!
I guess it takes all kinds! Fortunately, I think most people try harder than that, it's just that we remember the wrong ones.
