Well, I was sitting here last night (working the 12 hr nite shifts this week) and my cell rings and a fellow asked me if I was still looking for the bottom plow on craigs list. He must have looked back a ways as it was probably a good week or so when I posted the wanted item in farm stuff. Had a nice talk with a very nice gentleman and he has a 2 bottom that he will will sell me for a very reasonable price and it is fairly new (he said it still looks new as he only used it a few times before going to a much larger tractor for a 4 bottom puller. He is just cleaning out some stuff so I reckon I hit the jackpot. I will pick it up Sat. and post pics and how much $$$. Hoping the old '52 8N is up to the task.

Nice score! I know that plowing is out of date as farmers do it much anymore, but it sure is alot of fun. It's good to see an old "N" getting a good work out too. HAve fun with it!

Thanks, I do have a question for anybody to answer. Do ya'll think a 2 bottom will fit in the back of my full size '08 F150?

Yes the plow will fit. Good luck and happy plowing. Learning to plow is fun and plowing is even more fun.

Yes the p;low will fit, but if you have a trailer it
will be easier to load and unload. Also the plow is
a little hard to balance. I had one fall over in the
bed of a truck before I could secure it and it left
a ugly dent in the wheel well. So be careful and
strap it in good and tight.

this pic is of my f350.. however I have 3 tool boxes in the bed.. and the beds should be the same size anyway. here is a dearborn 2 bottom in mine.. you should be fine..

Like they said, it will fit. I hauled a 2-10 in my
short box. 2 of us muscled it in, I hoisted it out.
they are HEAVY and Tippy so be careful. There was a
post with some plowing instructions on here at one
time that i found especially useful. You will be
surprised at what a little adjustment will do for
the plow. Something about the plow will act like a
rudder on a boat...

I have 1 of these just wondered how much their worth. When it was given to me my dad 89 years old. Made ME polish it with a wire brush then grease it so it didn't rust. Never did use it.

Had a guy at work give me a 2 bottom plow. Didn't think too much about it. He told me it was just a old Ford plow and he could use a chain fall from a tree to load it. My eyes about popped out when I saw itwas a 101 2x16. I still gave him $200. for it. By the way, hauled home about 50 miles in the back of a Isuzzu pu. Mike
