Went to TSC today and grabed a tune up kit for my NAA.Got home and saw it had Autolite 216's plugs.Called the store see if I could swap them for 473's(was told no).Told the guy I'd have to put these on the shelf and pick up 473 at the auto parts store. He said come get the right the plugs you want,I'll give you a deal and have them at the counter.Drove back.Plugs wher at the counter and charged me $1.00+tax.Got new plugs and a back-up set.

Call me old fashion but the customer is always right. It cost so little to keep people coming back. That dollar he charged you will come back to him 50Xs. A smile and a thank you is the crowning finish.

just an fyi.. the naa would have started witht eh 216's screwed in.

if you have particularly bad gas or an oil pumper they might foul out easier though.

i myself prefer 437's

I do have a box of h12 and 216 and 437 I have been abrasive cleaning and reusing the last 5 or so years now... havn't bought a new plug since I can remember.

sg wish I could say the same, the last 2-4 packs of Autolites I got had nascar crap on them and made in china. Has anybody ever seen a person from china who was spending money at nascar? NO.

Ah but now days how much stuff can you buy that does not have something from China in it or on it etc.

Good luck. The tuneup kit I bought for my NAA from TSC two years ago was terrible. The points grounded out to the screw head and the distributor cap would not fit onto the distributor......to get the tractor running I had to use my old points and cap with the new rotor and condenser.

First thing I do is Google in say ign points, oil filters on and on what ever you are looking for made in USA. It takes some doing sometimes but I do it. Northern Tools catalog even says if USA or import. I have bought parts from this site, and others but there is a place that sells made in the USA parts for Ns it is called West Star and they have import and some USA parts and when you order they will tell you before you buy if you ask. I never ever buy from harbor freight. Now I do get stuff from the dollar store it is easy quick and best of all it aint walmart.Disposable razors, tooth paste, aluminum foil and more are made in the USA. It can be done. You are right about all the junk with china on it and ya got no choice sometimes. Even Milwaukee power tools are now made in china,so when I saw that I just started buying Ryobis at home depot cheap and disposable. Give it a try on google sometime and Thanks

I got a laugh a few weeks ago. Saw a Chev truck that had a bumper sticker on it that said keep my flag off you Japaneses car. Reason I laughed was the car I drive a Toyota is in fact made in the U.S. and the truck that guy was driving is not but made in Candain (sp) or Mexico

Just got a new Chevy truck. Built entirely ine the U.S.A., with 95% U.S.A. sourced parts. 100% of the profits stayed right here in the U.S.A. Can you say that about your Toyota?

No but my Toyota is so old it has been many parts from here as needed. Many Chev's are not 100% U.S.A. made shoot some have Jap engines in them may by Toyota

If the US makers made what I want I might consider it.I was truck shopping last fall and NO US manufacturer will put a manual transmission in a base model. 4 cylinder or V6 with a stick shift can only be had from Toyota or Nissan to replace my Ranger.I almost bought a Jeep but settled on a used Dakota. My dad only had GMCs but after GM closed the Oshawa truck plant I don"t feel any loyalty.

I don't know what you're talking about because you can buy a Chevrolet Colorado in Work Truck trim with a manual transmission.
