OT- But it is a Ford and It is Stupid

We use to do that all the time in an F100. In Mississippi on the
Levee there was a place where they had run a pipe line thru it to
empty out barges. It made a hill about like the one that truck
used. O'course back then as teenagers we would ride around
drinking beer. At some point we would end up on that part of the
levee. A Buddy of mine had the truck. He would hit the gas and
you knew what he was about to do. He had mounted speakers in
the roof. You could tell who he had been riding in the truck by
the color hairs in the screws of the speakers. It was really scary
when you were riding in back. You would be up against the cab
and fly up about two feet from its floor and whine up by the tail
gate. Other than a few knots on the head there was never any
instances. Guess they don't make them to fly as good as they use
to.

When I was 16 years old I bought a nice 1938 business coupe. Ran perfect.

One evening my brother in law gave me my first shot of Techilla and my buddy and I took off for the levee that runs along the Red River just below Bossier City LA.

We hit that levee going about 60 MPH and took off just like that truck. Trouble was not the flying but the landing. We hit the ground front bumber first almost went head over heels but it bounced a few times and ended up on all four wheels. Like to beat both of us to death.

I have never had a drink of Tecilla since!!!

I tell you one thing, that old '38 Ford was made out of come tough stuff. Didn't even bend the bumber!

YORK CORRUGATING, York, PA had a contract for awhile to make those fenders. Last time I was in one of the old warehouses, they had the laminated oak molds that was used to make FORDS fenders. That oak took the wear and tear of the metals pressing machine (hydraulic) rams for a lotta years.

Last summer i was doing Preventative Maintenance on the little truck lights on my 1989 Ford Escort.

When I removed the plastic sockets to put those new BAYONETTE light bulbs, well I was wondering why the sockets contained a lotta HUMAN hair.

Just to show.......well gromed drivers. The gray hair of my brother-in-law who owned the car.
He is 89 and just had hospital stay for BOTCHED up COLON inspection.
