Another Alternator Conversion

I was just asking in another thread the other day about doing a proper three-wire alternator conversion on my other Sidemount. Looks like this one has it already :)

Different bracket setup though...leaves some unused studs on the block. Do any of you fellas know the scoop on it?

curious what the hinge mount looks like.

as for the bracket.

eh? it works.. looks stout and adjustable.

I've had to build some funny alt mount before.

my farmall C is a contratption of flat and threaded ros and washer stacks. :)

I have a Case VAC that i had a HECK of a time getting an alt in close enough using the oe mounts on the engine, and keepin git from flexing.. so i had to build another stabilizer bracket. not pretty but works.

They probably don't get any easier than this one that I happened upon & photographed a few years ago:
Just stuff the alt into original gen bracket!

yep.. i looked all over on that block for another place to find a stabilizer mount. no go.

my other choice was to make up a cage bracket that bolted to the block then put the alt on that cage bracket.. but it was big and bulky and scrapped that idea..
