8N head bolt washers

I want to put washers under my head bolts? any concerns over hardness, size, etc.? torque pressure?

hy? Are your bolts too long? Because hot rod shops sell them? What? If washer material differs from head material, that might impact torque due to differing friction. Don't have info on % of resistance to turning related to bolt head friction vs thread friction..may be insignificant. Henry didn't think necessary & OK for last 60 years without them.

I used em just because the bolt head on my bolts were smaller than original. Used grade 8s we have at work and matching washer in the next bin.

If I do it again I will buy original and forget the washers.
