Just another Dumb Seller

Sorry, I don't mean to call people dumb. But you have to wonder about some folk selling things. He wants $3000 for a 9/2N and bushhog. Might be worth that for one that's been gone thru and nice paint. But he says nothing about anything being done to this one. To top it off, He take a picture of it with a tarp on it. You just got to shake your head at folks like that.

Looking around on Springfield CL:
Considering you could buy <a href="http://springfield.craigslist.org/grd/3586501814.html" target="_blank">This tractor with 34 hp for $2000 </a>,
or <a href="http://springfield.craigslist.org/grd/3523934266.html" target="_blank">this one with 33 HP and power steering for $3300</a> or even
<a href="http://springfield.craigslist.org/grd/3574828190.html" target="_blank">this one with 45 horse and LPTO for $2500</a>.
Not only would that seller be dumb but a buyer would have to be too.

You see it all the time here. One guy wants $2500+ for his and another ad that almost looks like the same one parked in a different brush thicket for $1200. Some peoples stuff is just way better than others I guess. :) Then you see others with new paint, but everything leaking, or painted over dried oil and dirt, no mention of condition other than "clean" or "She's a beauty".

I think I recognize that tractor - it's an "external_link Care" tractor. You have to buy it to see what's in it!

I wouldn't call the seller dumb, the one that is dumb would be the buyer. A person can ask what he wants to for it, but people don't have to pay the price. Some people say they paid such and such for an item, that is their fault if they didn't do their home work.

Sorta like 'dat JEWELERY sold on TV. Starts out $3,200.00. Sell a few. Then, 2,000.00, sold more, at last only 3 left at $19.95

Just got dish, here. Started out $48.00 per mo., NOW 59.95 in just one month. 250 channels. Only the same 3 that I always watched before are G rated for this lonely ole guy. :)

If someone bought it for $3000, then I would say he was pretty smart, now as for the person paying $3000 . you decide! The tarp, Just plain dumb!!

Help me out here, Ultradog. I'm in N.C. and would not be looking at those tractors as a purchase, but..........seriously...

What do you see as the problems/price with each one?

Thanks for helping to educate me regarding tractors.

Can't help you much as I don't know anything about those particular machines.
I just took a look around Springfield CL to see what other Fords in the area were going for and saw those.
All of the ones I linked to might be complete junkers. But the Models - 2000 Prior, 2000 3 cylinder and 960 are way more tractor than an N
and for the prices stated - if they are decent- would be a much better value than any N.

Thanks.

Based upon the photos and some of the comments, I thought they would be underpriced for this part of the country.

This guy has been posting the same ad on craigslist for nearly a year now - the price goes up and down but the crappy picture remains the same:

The prices for Ns here in California seem much higher than in other parts of the country too.
