12V roundcan conversion question

Rewired squarecan coil by drilling and it went well. My question is do you bypass the "infamous ballast resistor" behind the dash? I think you do but want to be sure! THANKS

a round can setup uses no resistor as long as you are using a 6v round can on 6v.. or a 12v round can on 12v.

for instance. napa ic14sb for 12v or napa ic8 for 6v

when you buy your coil ask for one that doesnt need a external resistor. some 12 volt coils do need one. on mine i eliminated the dash mounted resistor, but one that i bought converted has a resistor mounted on the side of coil. i really believe that any connection you can get rid of helps in the long run.
