old 01-19-2013 17:34:01 209.86.226.27 Report to Moderator	Ya common for me in the summer to have to turn off the fence charger, remove dead bird and turn it back on due the the fact the bird shorts the fence out but other then that no harm no fowl or maybe should say dead fowl (pun intended). Oh and one thing I like to do if I find a black snake in the chicken house I catch it then lay ot on the electric fence and boy or boy dose that snake do a snake dance [Reply]   [No Email]

But i let 2-3 stay with each coop. They do their job well. while the hens are out eating ot scratching up feed for the bitties..the roosters stand around onthe edges... mean suckers.. :) [Reply]  [No Email]

I guess inthe everglades they are having a problem with them.. but not near me. corn snakes and similar.. black snakes, moccasins and rattlers are about the norm. 5-6' is a good snake here..
