Carb to Air pipe Coupling hose on an 8N

Has anyone used a PVC flexible coupling form HomeDepot for the coupling between the carb and air pipe on an 8N? I am not sure if gasoline would eat thru that material or not.

I just go to a local autoparts and buy the longest radiator hose that I can get and make my own.

Another question, very close to the above.Carb to air pipe system for a TEA /52 Ferguson? Would the Rad hose work or would this be too close to the manifold/exhaust pipe for the amount of heat in that area? I did try a piece of that metal flexible exhaust pipe and that didn't work as the carb seemed to be starving for air. Unhooked the pipe and tractor run's. Thanks Murray

a flexi tube is sold for the 01 series air hoses. essenitally a rad style hose... etc..
