This is my fix. I welded two pieces of 4" channel iron back to back to make a piece of "I" beam. I then drilled the appropriate holes and bent the "I" beam slightly to fit on the tractor. Any other questions, just ask.

I bought a pair from Orscheln's on sale; that evening, in talking with my neighbor, he mentioned that he still had a brand new pair he had purchased several years prior but never used and no longer had the tractor. He gifted them to me, seen in pictures, and I returned the new ones I bought (regularly priced at $40 each at TSC or Orscheln's.)
