Who locally (Tacoma , WA) regrinds crankshafts or is it cheaper to find a good used one?
Doe anybody have one and what's the average costs?

Unless the crank has already been ground to max undersize it can be reground again. That would be cheapest.
Look in the yellow pages for engine rebuilders.

John........used to be major engine rebuild shop, 2-streets above Pacific Ave and couple of blocks from old Heidelberg Brewery. Dunno after freeway exit rebuild for new trolly tracks. Cope Bros in Spanaway rebuilt my sheepie buddies crankshaft and tractor has never been smoother. Cope also sponsors Kasy Kein NASCAR race driver. Usually NAPA dealers can recommend an engine grinder shop. Don't haffta tell'em ittza tractor. Crankshaft grinding is common engine machine shop procedure. They can even do it in metric. No idea as to cost. .........Dell

Check out West Bay auto parts (NAPA) stores in Bremerton I know one of there stores has a machine shop.Richard in Poulsbo WA

Unless your crankshaft is cracked or broken, it should be reusable with a little machine work. I have about a dozen used crankshafts, but they would need a little attention from a machinest too, so there's no sense in paying shipping to get something that's no better than what you already have. Any reputable automotive machine shop should be able to help you.
